Just recently Evangeline Lilly revealed her would-be costume for Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. Lilly stars as Hope van Dyne, daughter of Janet van Dyne the original Wasp which was created by Jack Kirby back in 1963. As part of her birthday wishes to the departed Kirby, Lilly stated via Twitter “I am honoured to be on set today playing #TheWasp on what would be Jack Kirby’s 100th birthday.”
On a further Ant-Man note, at the recent San Diego Comic Con some interesting casting choices were revealed with Laurence Fishbourne as Dr. Bill Foster—heir to the Giant-Man mantle, and Michelle Pfeiffer as Hope’s mother Jane van Dyne. The film will also see the return of Scott Lang/Ant-Man played by Paul Rudd and Hank Pym/former Ant-Man (and Hope’s father) portrayed by Michael Douglas. Peyton Reed will be returning to direct the much anticipated sequel.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is in theaters July 2018.
