Introduce Ron Hall (Greg Kinnear,“Little Miss Sunshine”) a successful businessman and his wife, Deborah Hall (Renee Zellweger, “Bridget Jones’s Diary”), who discover a renewed sense of purpose when they start to volunteer at a local mission in Fort Worth, Texas. Their lives change forever when they make an unlikely relationship with Denver Moore (Djimon Hounsou, “Blood Diamond”), a homeless man who inspires them to save their struggling marriage.

“Same Kind of Different as Me”, is Michael Carney’s directorial debut. On another interesting note about Michael Carney is that this is first big project. His only written and produce a short call “Jew”. Can Same Kind of Different as Me be Michael’s big break? Working with some well known names in Hollywood in this small contained story about relationships. With a little help from working with the source material from the 2006 book of the same name, hopefully this is enough to bring forth a hidden gem for 2017.
